Hi. I read this in a moment where I feel like I am shrinking in the world in order to survive. I have just a smidge more courage bearing witness to you taking up space. Just a smidge. I will do my best to savor it until I can find more.
A little late reading this - like 2 weeks late, but also 1:30 AM late. ;-)
Love that you got to see the Northern Lights, snowmobile, and celebrate your birthday. You (and your hair) are looking great - joyful and peaceful, despite the dumpster fire going on around us. Joining you in lament and prayer for this nation and the tailspin it is in. And praying that God's justice and mercy will rain down.
And praying your book - like all of your writing - will bless many!
Oh friend I love you and yall. I loved this piece and that picture of the lights is powerful. Also your hair is an anchor for me still because the first time we interviewed you you said your hair was big to remind you to take up space. And now whenever I diminish myself I think of your big wonderful hair and I relax my shoulders and ask God for courage
I understand about the prewriting and also it makes sense if you need to be offline, but I'm so very happy to see a glimpse of you here. And even happier you got your adventure. I love it for you so much!
I wept out there, Jodi! The whole expanse of the sky lit up. The entire expanse, shimmering. And then I had to stop crying because my tears threatened to freeze...and I was holding my pee, because it was just a field in the dark with two fuzzy horses randomly lurking and hoping for treats...

My friend, your very being must take up tall, regal space. I’m so happy to remind you of how expansive you are.
Thank you, friend.

Don, it was so much goodness. We need a movie or game night to download! I still want to hear about NYC which feels like eons ago.
And yeah. The dumpster fire. It’s a low grade hum of depression and my prayers are imprecatory these days.
I always love a movie or game night with you and your family! Anytime!
In the meantime, joining you in those prayers.
I just love you so much!
It’s so mutual. You are such an encourager.

Thank you so much. 🥹 I still remember that interview, too. It was both fun and an honor. I’m glad to encourage you to take up space!
Congratulations on your new book!!! Woo hoo!! I can't wait to read it!
Thank you so much, Yolanda!
This is amazing. You are amazing 😊
As are you. :)
😘
I brought home some salt, Judy. You are an influencer.
Ahhh hahaha yes! 👏

I’m living a lot offline these days, for my nervous system, for the kids.
I feel hugged by your words.
I’m so glad. That was my intention.
THE WAY I LOOOOOOVE that the Father showed out with the sun and the lights!!! YOU DESERVE. YOU DESERVE. I’LL SAY IT AGAIN, YOU DESERVE!
And you are stunning, friend ❤️ I cannot wait for this book!!!
